Glen Hirshberg’s novels include The Snowman’s Children, Infinity Dreams, The Book of Bunk, and the Motherless Children trilogy. He is also the author of five widely praised story collections: The Two Sams, American Morons, The Janus Tree, The Ones Who Are Waving, and Tell Me When I Disappear. His work has earned him the Shirley Jackson Award, three International Horror Guild Awards, and five World Fantasy Award finalist nominations, among other honors. Glen has taught creative writing at the graduate, undergraduate, and secondary levels for more than thirty years. As a professor at Cal State San Bernardino, where he helped launch the MFA program, Glen founded the CREW project, through which he trained his most passionate students to teach creative writing, then sent them into the surrounding community to run months-long workshops at schools unable to offer creative outlets or opportunities. He has since launched another version of that project for teenaged writers, in partnership with the I Have a Dream Foundation and other organizations devoted to bringing artistic opportunities to under-resourced populations.
